ROUGH SYNOPSIS of WOODITIS: a tale of two boys who grow up together, and one day must part. One becomes a lawyer, the other becomes a soldier in the Gulf War. Once the soldier returns, he becomes an activist. The group he is affiliated with becomes knee deep in sh*t when they (out of self defence) take violent action during their protests. What happens to the group when two cops are dead?....What happens to the life long friendship when the two men in it begin to grow apart?.... The film has many parallels within it (for instance, the issues brought up in the protests and in the time of the Gulf War, and the biblical symbolism and parrallels within the characters and their respective journeys...) 

WOODITIS IS BEING SCREENED SUNDAY JUNE 27th at 9pm at INNIS TOWN HALL --- BE THERE!!! The whole weekend is a student film festival!! www.massiveproductions.org

BRUCE ALMIGHTY (in Theaters):
This romantic comedy is one for all Jim Carey fans to see. It mixes humour and a cute love story in a narrative of self discovery. Bruce Nolan begins as a news caster who cant seem to catch a break. Things begin to go wrong for Bruce, and in turn he blames God. Eventually God decides to challenge Bruce by giving him all his powers. This adds for a little creativity and humour in the film. With scenes such as Bruce opening his filing cabinet of thoughts...or creating prayer post its - this film is an easy way to spend the nite. And as much as the idea behind the narrative is false, the love story between Carey and Aniston is very real - their ups and downs are realistically portrayed. I wont spoil the ending - but I will give it a 7 out of 10. Enjoy!

SUPER TROOPERS (on Video):
This film is good fun for those who are easily amused. If you're in the mood for stupid humour, then you should pick this video to rent. The story line is fairly basic; high way troopers are going to be shut down by the local cops unless they smarten up - this is difficult considering all the high way patrol does is Fish, chugg maple syrup, jerk off, and play a number of pranks all day long (against eachother, and civilians). This is where the stupid humour comes in --- altho I must admit the first 20 mins before the title appears, is simply hilarious (mix a bag of weed and shrums, and a psycho Super Trooper and u've got four scared shitless teens)! Very funny -- even for people who wanna say its not. I enjoyed it, its a film to see for shits and giggles... so if ur into that -- then rent SUPER TROOPERS. I give it a 5 out of 10 - but the writers are hilarious! Enjoy!

JUST MARRIED (on Video):
Another romantic comedy here for ya, can u tell its one of my fave genres>? This film stars Britany Murphy and Ashton Kutcher,,,excuse my spelling mistakes :P The two begin as newly weds, and end up practically divorced by the end of their honeymoon. However the narrative begins at the end! It starts with the two at eachother's throats, and works its way Momento styles (backwards) to explain how a charming newly wed couple could be so violent with eachother so soon! With tons of physical humour on both actors parts, and interesting backdrops (all over Europe) it makes a hilarious journey for Murphy and Kutcher. All and all, my fave part was when Murphy throws an ash tray at Kutcher's head, and the lines and actions that soon follow it! If you're lookin for a light hearted film about following your heart (and not carin what ur parents - or buttler - thinks)and wanna have a good laugh in the meantime ...then this is a decent rental to pick up. It helps that the leads are easy on the eyes too. I give it a 7 out of 10 - due to the fact that i dont like movies that spoil the ending! Enjoy~

AMERICAN WEDDING (in Theaters):
Another great addition for the AMERICAN PIE franchise...Most of the original cast has returned, but wait - the hilarity is not nearly the same as part one or two. The stunts/jokes get worse and worse, more and more graphic... with hints of beastiality, a man eats dog poo, a handicaped elderly woman gets taken advantage of in a closet (altho i think it takes two to tango in THIS scene), pubic hair is blown onto a wedding cake, stripers ruin a family dinner, oh man the list goes on and on... I'm sure i'm missing ALL KINDS of fun,,, but i wouldnt want to ruin the flick for ya - esp since most of u are paying at least 10$ to see this circus perform! As u may have guessed, these gags revolve around a wedding (michelle and jim are finally tiein the knot..no more trips to band camp!) and of course Jim's buddies wanna give him the best bachelor party they can buy... this weak story line provides just enuff backdrop for the writers to have their way with the adolescent audience... they even resort to having Finch and Stiffler fight over the same woman -- but HOW they fight -- well let's just say its the highlight of the film (in my eyes)... All in all, this film should be rented, not viewed in a theater - unless u have too much time and money on ur hands, and are dieing to lose brain cells. But it sure is funny :P
I give it 6.7 our of 10 ;) (it got the point 7 for the joke about the "neck massager") Enjoy~
